"A HARVEST OF LAUGHTER "

It was a Harvest of Laughter, on Friday 9, November 2015 as the University of Port Harcourt Arts Theatre celebrated prominent intellectuals and noted professionals whose birthday fall in November & December.

The celebrants 

  Dr Edward Imo of the Department of Theatre & Film Studies, University of Port Harcourt, moderated the variety show that commenced at about 6.30pm. The audience was thrilled to an unfailing hilarious laughter by three comedians, namely, MC Wrong Number, Swevik D Tokutoku & Spencer.  Mama Africa and August delighted spectators with stimulating songs and dance.

  Ala Owerre with the Producer, Mrs. Grace John-Ogbonaya was not left out, as they thrilled viewers with an outstanding cultural display.  Other activities include cutting of the cake by December and November Icons and concluding remarks by the host, Professor Femi Shaka, Head of Department, Theatre & Film Studies.

 Amongst those in attendance was Prof. Anthony Ibe, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), University of Port Harcourt; Prof. W. O. Wotogbe-Weneka of the Department of Religious & Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, University of Port Harcourt; Prof. (Mrs.) Molara,  one of the foremost writers on African feminism, gender studies and literary theory. Also a lecturer at the Department of English Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Univeristy of Port Harcourt; Mr. Emmanuel Ogota, Managing Director Jovit Concepts, Alakahia; Prof. H. I. Dike, Mrs. Kate Oyige and many more to mention.
